I was hoping to download the new OS which is when I discovered the problem was across all apple apps. I should note that when I removed the network and config files I couldn't find the .plist file, which I thought was unusual as I had never accessed that folder before. I have unselected all proxies, selected 'change networks' in the advanced settings etc. I have tried every troubleshooting technique I can come across including renewing the DHCP lease and running apple diagnostics and it has come up with nothing. I have scanned the computer multiple times for a virus but there's nothing there. I have had to repeatedly force quit applications and it takes much longer to load apps like notebook than previously. The overall speed of the computer is also lagging a bit.
It happens regardless of the wifi network I use and therefore has to be an issue with the computer itself or the operating system (Yosemite 10.10.3). Over the past two days, however, it has stopped connecting to the internet at all. Any info relating to this seems to be directed at microsoft users and I'm starting to think it's a problem with my computer and not the apps in question. I really don't know what else to do at this point. I have tried removing the network configuration and preference files, creating a new wifi network location with custom DNS, resetting the SMC (which would fix the problem for about two minutes, and even then the internet would be very slow in those two minutes) and unloading and reloading discoveryd. In safari it will tell me that I'm not connected to the internet.Īt the moment, I can use hotspot to connect to the internet without a problem in chrome only, safari still won't work. When in chrome it will show the error DNS_PROBE_FAILED_NO_INTERNET. The wifi bar will show a strong connection but regardless of the app I use (google chrome or safari) the webpage will constantly fail to load. I've been having problems with my wifi the last two days.
